“For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it, and will no more cover its slain.” (Isaiah 26:21 ESV)

These days, many preachers are afraid to talk about the wrath of God. Most are worried about how many people attend their church and how many are tithing. Some are afraid to “offend” anyone with the fact that God is angry with sin and sinners.
Isaiah and other prophets warned about the wrath of God. No one listened back then, and apparently, not many are listening now. We should rejoice in the wrath of God. Why? because it is a promise that God will extinguish evil.
But are we not all evil? Yes, we are all inherently evil. Calvin wrote about total deprivation, and Paul wrote, “None are good.” Only God is good, and God defines what it means to be good. If we are left like this, we cannot withstand the pressure and will crumble under our own deprivation. Think of it this way: If we were not evil, Jesus would not have had to die so that our sins may be forgiven. This is the gospel! It is possible to escape our sin and an eternal sentence in hell. By accepting Christ through faith, He makes us righteous; He saves us.
Because Christ drank the cup of wrath, He desperately asked not to drink; by his obedience, he will save us who have faith in Christ and profess it to Him. When Christ saves us, we are regenerated, receiving a new heart of flesh and having the old heart of stone removed. We are free from the wrath of God against sin.
Our life is but a vapor, a mist that dissipates as quickly as it appears. There is no guarantee of a tomorrow or even the next minute. This is why accepting Christ as your Savior is so desperately imperative. We cannot wait because as sure as the next second clicks on the clock, we may die.
Where are you with Christ? Does He know you? He knows your heart. Give that heart of stone away. Accept Christ as your Savior today. It is the only way you can be rejoined to God and adopted into His family. What are you waiting for, a special invitation? You just got it.
If you do not know Christ and are not sure how to become a child of God, reach out to us here at InMessiah.com. We are here to help, to guide, and to answer any questions you may have. God waits for you.
Grace and Peace!
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
