“And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he (Jesus) was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” (Mark 4:37-41 ESV)

There are storms in our life of many kinds. It does not matter what the storm may be; Jesus calms all things. If you know Him, there is a calm that comes with that blessing. It is something that not everyone has and can be an indicator of where they might be with Christ.

The peace of Christ penetrates the hardest of hearts, the thickest walls, and the most bottomless pits. It is a peace that, when you wake, makes you want to lay there a while and be comforted in it. To whisper a prayer giving thanks for it, and to count your blessings that God has counted you among the few. Jesus told us the gate that leads to Him is narrow, and many will not find it. It is a blessing to have walked through that gate, the gate that leads from the world to Jesus.

His peace descends upon you like a warm blanket. Many have heard my testimony and heard that on the darkest day of my life, I was cradled in the peace of Christ and slept like a child, knowing God’s will would be done. Even when we are in distress and trials, Christ’s peace will carry us.

If you do not know Jesus, If you would like a peace so strong, it covers all things believe. Believe in Jesus, have faith in Him, repent your sins, and ask Him to be your life’s Lord. Jesus will fill the God-shaped hole in your heart, and the peace of Christ will fall upon you.

Peace and Grace!
