“Seeing we have such a prayer-hearing God as we have heard, let us be much employed in the duty of prayer: let us pray with all prayer and supplication: let us live prayerful lives, continuing instant in prayer, watching thereunto with all perseverance; praying always, without ceasing, earnestly, and not fainting.”

Jonathan Edwards

You may have watched the revival that took place in Kentucky at Asbury University; my university also took place in the revival and it was overwhelming even to see on the screen. It was so promising to see all the students praying and worshiping for days. Jonathan Edwards played a critical role in the first revival and his quote reveals his desire for united prayer.

Revival is consuming in a good way. It always starts with united prayer and the movement of the Spirit elevates the worship and prayers beyond the confines of the group beginning the continuous prayer and worship. Revival is more than emotions and “let’s feel good” services. Revival is rooted in testimony, deep fervent prayer, and worship.

I think now more than ever this country needs a revival. Pray that the Spirit will stir the United States and return it to its Christian roots. We need a revival to turn the course of the enemy and display to God our true devotion, love, worship, and praise of the Trinity. Pray my brothers and sisters pray.

I ask that you pray for the brothers of the Kairos Prison Ministry who will be serving at a maximum security prison in Maryland this month. Please add these servants of God to your prayer lists and ask those with whom you share fellowship to pray that God lifts up and blesses this ministry. Pray that God will open ears and hearts so that the Brothers of Kairos' words and the Gospel of Jesus Christ would be heard and accepted by those needing salvation. Pray that the Holy Spirit would change hearts of stone to flesh, and God would give those in need a sense of self-worth, a knowledge of love and acceptance in Christ Jesus.

Peace and Grace!
