Oh, Give Thanks!!

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 (ESV)

Most Wise and Holy Father,

We come to You this Sunday morning with indescribable joy in our hearts, Lord.  We honor You as our God and our King, and we praise Your blessed name because You are the only One worthy to be praised.  Your glory and majesty expand beyond the nations of the Earth.  You reign with dominion and authority over all of creation, and Your works are great.  You continue to demonstrate Your sovereign power and might, Lord, and we will sing Your praises all the days of our lives.  Thank you, Lord God, for showering down your mercy and unmerited favor upon us every day.  Your faithfulness to Your children is greater than we could ever imagine or hope for, and Your Word and Your promises are the only things that will endure for generations.  We ask, precious Lord, that by Your Spirit, we will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given us life.  We are yours; please continue to lovingly protect and shepherd Your flock as we seek to do Your will.  You are our refuge in times of trouble, and we place our trust in You; for You, Lord, have promised to never leave us nor forsake us.  We thank You for the gift of salvation; the power of prayer; and that blessed hope that can only be found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We will praise You, O Lord, with every ounce of our being, and we will bless Your name forever and ever.  Amen.
