“We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.” Psalm 75 (ESV)
Pray with me:
Lord God, I come to you with a humble yet grateful heart, thanking you for your mighty works. For your name, Lord, is magnificent throughout all of the Earth. You created everything by the power of your Word, and you sustain it because you patiently love me with an unfailing love that is beyond comprehension. You are the true and living God, whose marvelous works declare your power, holiness, and sovereignty. You reign on the throne in Heaven, and the Earth is but a mere footstool for you. Your wisdom is far beyond human understanding, and those who know you through faith in your only begotten Son place our trust in your excellent greatness.
Lord Jesus, there are no amount of works that come close to paying the debt that I owe to you and to you alone. You paid the ultimate price with your precious blood so that I would not have to face God’s judgment. You took on the punishment that I deserve for my disobedience, and placed your righteousness on me. You saved this poor wretch from the Father’s wrath, so that by His grace through faith, my relationship with Him might be restored. Thank you for dying for me, and for defeating death through your resurrection. You are awesome and your love is indescribable, and I will praise your holy name until you call me home.
I thank you, Holy Spirit, for leading me down the right path; the path that the Lord has laid out for my good and for His glory. You speak to my heart through God’s Word, giving me the courage to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. You pray for me when I cannot pray for myself, and you reveal my wrongs to me which lead me to repentance. You are my power when I am weak. I can literally feel your presence. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for reminding me that I am never alone, and that you are the guarantee of my salvation.
I will continue to place my trust in your faithful love, O Lord, and my heart will rejoice in your deliverance. In the precious name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.
