Light in the Dark

“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:12-13 ESV)

As we live in the world, we face feast and famine. We have abundance, and we have shortages. But we should be strengthened by the Lord. When we walk in faith, we become a beacon of the light of God. When you do, others ask how you can be so happy when there is so much trouble in this world, in our daily lives. The world can bring you down; the economy, lack of morality, and the utter rebellion of God are frightening. When you walk with Christ, there is hope, strength, and happiness. You can easily see the good side of most situations and others; even though you might have to look harder, the good side is there. People will want to know “how you do it.” There, my friends is the opening to spread the Gospel.

Spread the good news of Jesus just as saints have been doing for the last 2000 years. Tell of his strength, salvation, hope, mercy, and grace. You could change one person’s life forever by simply introducing them to the King of Kings. Be a mirror and reflect the mercy and grace of Christ. You will draw the lost to you like moths to a flame.
