“Lift Up Your Eyes on High"

“Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.” (Isaiah 40:26 ESV)
The design of creation is beyond comprehension. Just think, God created everything from nothing (Ex Nihilo). Renaissance artist Michelangelo once said of his sculpture David, “It is easy. You just chip away the stone that doesn’t look like David.” Michelangelo had a reference; God’s reference for man was Himself, and from man, He brought forth woman. While Michelangelo had the stone. God created from emptiness. From the Father’s words, Christ brought forth creation. (John 1:3)
Isaiah refers to the heavens, the very universe in which we live. The Earth is set perfectly at just the proper distance from the Sun, neither too close nor too far. If created randomly, the Earth could be an oven, like the planet Mercury, which is too close, or an icebox, like Venus, which is too far. Our atmosphere is a perfect mix of gases that allows us to breathe and live. Water, of which our bodies are primarily made, is ideal to sustain us; the wrong blend of elements, and we shrivel up and die. Do you really believe all this is by accident?
God knows each star by name and has set it in its place in the universe. Placed in the universe and commanded never to lose their place, heavenly bodies obeyed. Uncountable stars and celestial bodies, do you really believe this is the result of an explosion? If there was nothing, what exploded? There is no such thing as spontaneous generation.
God asked Job, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:1-7) God is no fool. He created by divine design everything that exists. He did this out of love. God did not have to clear away what was not part of His design. It was perfect. It is the human, imperfect, twisted by the essence of sin, who turns from God, proposing creation by other means. Even today’s scientists acknowledge the complexity of humans and the mathematical improbability of anything other than divine creation by God.1, An interesting note, the author of this cited article ended it with today’s scripture, purely accidental?
When we step outside on a clear, dark, starry night and look up, or watch the sun rise over the ocean, remember that God created this as His divine creation. So powerful, so wise, all-knowing is our God. He planned you, who you are, knowing every hair on your head, and when you will stand before Him. He did this before He created. Arrogant is the human who looks at creation and its vast complexities and explains it away.
Humble yourself and bow the knee to the one true living God. In Him there is salvation from yourself.
Grace and Peace.
