Jesus Lives!

If you follow my blog, you will have noticed there was no post yesterday. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus had buried Christ. Devastated, silent, and in mourning, the apostles were in hiding, and there was silence.
Angels Among Them
And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.” (Mark 16:6 ESV). Mary and a few other women who accompanied the disciples went to the tomb of Jesus in the morning. They saw the angel that spoke those words written in the Gospel of Mark. Jesus was not there; the stone rolled away; Jesus had risen, fulfilling all the scriptures. The words He had spoken to the disciples were also fulfilled.
Got Doubt?
There are more details and days of encounters after the resurrection; I want to focus on one. The Apostle Thomas, also called Didymus, was absent from a gathering of the apostles when Christ appeared to them. When the other apostles told Thomas of the appearance of Christ, Thomas did not believe them. Thomas said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” (John 24-25 ESV). Thomas still doubted that Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ. Hence the term doubting Thomas. Eight days later, Jesus appeared again in the presence of the apostles, including Thomas. After Thomas kneeled before Christ in worship, Jesus said, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29 ESV).
Faith Alone
I haven’t seen Jesus, have you? I haven’t seen Him but every bone in my body, every fiber of my being, every hair left on my head tells me Jesus lives. I know He lives in me as well. Nothing or no one could have changed what I was to the child of God I am today but God. Christ changed me; the Holy Spirit convicts teaches and fills my body with the living Christ. If you know Jesus Christ, you believe and are blessed.
Let Me Tell You About My Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin and grew into a man—a man, 100% God and 100% human. Christ suffered the passion, beaten, lashed, blood dripping from His crown of thorns only to be nailed to a tree, a curse. He did this for you. While we were still sinners, Jesus gave up his life for us. He rose on the third day, later appearing to His disciples. Jesus ascended into heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father. Christ is your Savior, mediator, brother, and king. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ, you alone are the Savior of the world.
Yes or No?
Do you know Him? If you do not know Him, please turn your face to Him. Have faith in who He is, repent your sins before Him, and ask Him for forgiveness. Ask Him to be your Savior. We never know when our life will end; today is Resurrection Day. Today Jesus rose in bodily form, later ascending into heaven. Where would you go if you died this instant? Do you know? Seek Him, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Seek Him, and God will bless you.
Happy Easter from all of us at In Messiah. May God bless you and yours.
