“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3 ESV)
We are all in or should be in awe of the power of Christ. Christ has power over life and death. We remember Lazarus and Jairus’s daughter, to name just two, but most importantly, we remember the power to rise from the dead in bodily form to open the door to heaven for us.
The world is in an eco-frenzied state. The fear and rush to control global warming, storms, earthquakes, and drought have made people consider extreme ways to repair what we cannot repair. Society believes it can correct this on its own. It is Jesus who has power over the entirety of the universe. It is Christ’s power that calms the storm in nature and us. He died on a cross so that we might be saved, and now, He sustains us and the universe. Christ sustains all things through His mercy, grace, and power. Our spirituality is sustained and continues to grow through the power of His words.
By Christ’s power, we have been justified and made righteous, our sins and failures made null and void. He used this power on earth to complete God’s plan of redemption of His children.
Jesus is God; He reigns in heaven and is our judge and mediator between us and God the Father. He has the power to and will come again in glory. We who believe this are His saints on earth, those who know the Lamb of God, yearn for His return and will stand before Him to answer for our life.
Have you been cleansed in Christ? Have your clothes been washed white in the blood of Christ? Have you been made whole in the blood of Christ? Works righteousness can not save you; it is only the finished work of Christ that saves.
Give thanks to Christ for His power and glory. Give thanks that you have been washed clean in the blood of Christ, that you can walk upright in circumspect before the Lord. I never ask anyone if they have a relationship with Christ. Everyone has a relationship with Him. For some, it is a relationship of salvation; for others, it is one of judgment and condemnation. Both are very real, and both are very personal. Because of this, I only see it as if someone knows Christ knows Him, not knows of Him.
If you do not know Christ, but His power and your hope of salvation are calling you, reach out to us here at InMessiah.com. We can help you come to know your Savior.
Peace and Grace!
