“The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty” (Exodus 34:6-7 ESV)
Can you imagine being Moses? God descended from the cloud and walked before Moses. Scripture does not tell us if Moses looked at God, but it does say he bowed his head in worship. God walked before Moses.
You, too, will see God, can you imagine? I cannot. A glory so bright, a binding holiness that transcends all things. God’s glory-beaming, a flowing robe that fills the temple, is an overwhelming sight. Eyes of fire that have seen all you have done in your life. I cannot imagine.
I often talk of those who reflect God and how we who live Christ-centered lives project God’s light. I know someone like this; he is my brother in Christ. And when I am with him, I see Christ in Him; I hear Him in his voice. I know another who lives a Christ-centered life and projects the light of God. It is the light I see in him. He glorifies God in everything he does. He, too, is a brother. I have met others I did not know, part of a church body, a ministry leader, and I saw Christ in them without knowing them. When I learned more about them, I understood why.
If you do nothing else in your life, live every day to glorify God. Live your life to glorify God; others will see that in you. You may not see it in yourself, but others will see it in you. I do not know what people see when they look at me; I pray it pleases God.
You will stand before God in His glory; I hope you hear; well done, my good and faithful servant.
Coram Deo (live your entire life in the presence of God under His authority)
God’s Peace!
