I just could not do it.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)

Merciful Father,

I praise Your mercy and grace that made me alive in Christ, even when I was dead in trespasses and sins. When I was without hope, you did what I could not do on my own. Thank You, Father; I pray that Your Spirit will more and more open my understanding to this tremendous gift that is my salvation. Holy Spirit, make me bold in proclaiming the saving blood of Jesus to those who are alive but dead in their sins. Lord, use me as a vessel to carry and apply Your plans and purposes. My work in your name is not to boast of my salvation through my hand but yours. My testimony is my worship, praise, and glorification of your life-giving sacrifice and blood.

All this I ask in saving name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
