I Cling to You

Merciful Father,
I thank you for the promise of Your presence in my life. You are with me alone in my prayers as the lesser light gives way to the greater light that births the dawn. You are the powerful One who saves His elect and rejoices with providence. Please, Lord, quiet my mind this morning as I am overcome with Your love. Remove my struggles and indecision on things that do not warrant my time, the folly and foolishness of this world. Restore my thoughts and remind me of Your steadfast and faithful love as I struggle through this morning. Without you, the way, the truth, and the life, I could not walk through my life in this broken world without Your love and constant companionship. I yours and cling to you with all my heart.
