The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he! (Psalm 99 v.2-3)

Holy is he! The concept of holiness, often misunderstood, is truly awe-inspiring. Biblically, it signifies separation. God's holiness is so profound, so distinct, that It is beyond human reach. His purity is transcendent, beyond our comprehension.

God, like us, possesses many attributes, but unlike us, He is flawless. His purity is a concept that can be challenging to grasp. God's attributes are not divided or diluted. He is not partially good, partially loving, or any other attribute. He is 100% of everything that defines Him.

This is why we exalt God. We worship God at an elevated level above all things because He is greater than the things He created. I have heard people ask how one man, in several hours, satisfies God's wrath toward all sin. The answer is simple. The man Christ Jesus was worth more than all creation. He is God, and as God, His death was the unsurpassable, ultimate payment of atonement.

As we begin this week, I pray you will look for and see God's ultimate worth in your life. Make Christ the center of all you do. Whatever you do—work, play, eat, sleep, or read your Bible—do it all to glorify God.

Father God,

Bless us this week as we walk through this world. Help us to place our focus Christ. Help us to live every breath for Him as He gave His last breath for us. Father God, we worship and exalt you for your holiness, your grace and mercy is endless.

In Christ’s name, we pray, Amen.

Grace and Peace!
