And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go

for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 ESV)

Isaiah is one of the best-known prophets of the Lord. His vision of the Lord projects His majesty and holiness. God was sitting high upon a throne. The train of his garment filled the temple. Surrounded by Seraphim who did nothing but worship. A beautiful vision that forced Isaiah to see the separation between himself and God by his own

iniquity.

Seraphim pronounce Holy, Holy, Holy. In Hebrew writings, things repeated three times magnify the meaning, so essentially, the Seraphim chanted holy, holier, holiest. Jesus often did this by magnifying the word “truly,” as in “truly, truly I say to you” (John 8:34).

Isaiah 6:8 warms the heart. Isaiah responds to God, “Here am I, send me.” Thus was the commission of Isaiah by the Lord. Have you responded to God, “Here am I, send me”? Jesus called us in the great commission to spread the gospel, so we shall. We spread it by word, actions, and by being a reflection of the Lord in our lives. Trust in the Lord, take his mantle upon you, and further the work of the apostles. God will bless you more than you can imagine.

Peace and Grace!
