“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 ESV)
In this day and age, we all struggle. We struggle with money; we struggle with health, we struggle with the world. Whenever I am troubled, I remember this verse. Since my salvation, I have never not had food, shelter, health, family, and, most importantly, my faith.
When we, as a family, are struggling, I always remind my family that God provides. I can tell you unexpected refunds, checks, promotions, and other blessings have occurred. Now, I am not saying we have not had hard times. We have had severe hard times, but God has always gotten us through them. I have seen hard times where the only thing I had was my faith to carry me through them. If I were walking through sand, there would only be one set of footprints, the Lords. That commonly used poetic verse, story, or parable, whatever it is, is true. Faith carries us through; the belief in a God who never changes is constant and provides grace and mercies no matter what we have done in the past.
If you are struggling, reach out to those around you for help, but most of all, rely on Christ. He has never left you and never will. Like the birds of the air, he knows what we need and when we need it, even before we ask.
Have faith; we are children of God, a constant and never changing God of love and mercy.
Peace!
