Happy Father's Day

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

Happy Father’s Day! Fathers, the psalmist tells us the blessings of children. They are a reward, although sometimes a reward we would like to give back (just kidding). They are a heritage from the Lord. They are His whom He has sent to us. We are truly blessed.

Children, remember your father today! Tell him how much you love him if you cannot spend it with him. We dads are imperfect, but we love our kids despite our faults. If your dad is with the Lord, rejoice in your time with him. Today is the Sabbath; let your dad rest and serve him that he may take respite in the Lord.

Blessed be our heavenly Father through whom all mercies are handed to us with love and unfailing devotion.
