Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless Your holy name!
Psalm 103:1 (ESV)
Most Wise and Eternal God,
This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it! We come to You this morning with grateful hearts, Father, thanking you for allowing us to wake up to see another day. We are grateful, Lord God, for another opportunity to bless Your holy name, for You are sovereign. You are omnipotent. You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. You are the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, and there is no one like You. We are forever grateful that You continue to shower down Your mercy and unmerited favor upon us. We do not understand this kind of love, a love in which You would still choose to call sinners the children of God, but we thank You, Lord. We thank You for sending Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to the cross at Calvary to die for our sins. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for taking on our sin in exchange for Your righteousness, and for rising on the third day, now seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. We do not deserve such a perfect love. We thank You for the gift of faith, the gift of repentance, and the assurance of eternal life through that faith and repentance. We are thankful that You will never leave us nor forsake us; that Your precious Holy Spirit abides within us. We are grateful that everything we go through is for our good and for Your glory. Thank you, Lord, for using us to be Your representatives here on Earth. We are grateful for the pastors, preachers, teachers, and brave missionaries that You are using to edify Your Word, which is Jesus. We ask that You continue to protect and strengthen them, as well as the entire body of Christ, so that the unbelieving world will see our good works and come to know Jesus as their Savior. We pray that today, another sinner becomes a saint through faith in the finished works of Christ, so that the heavens can rejoice, and You may be glorified.
We are forever grateful for the gift of prayer, Father. Thank you, God, for inclining Your ear to us. All these things we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Amen!
