For the Church

Merciful Father,

Our hearts are filled with prayer for your Church, for the righteous Body of Christ. We pray that you bless your people with love, unity, and devotion, that we may be a shining example of your grace and mercy to the world.

Lord, we understand that unity in the Church is crucial. Help us to set aside our differences and come together under the blanket of true biblical doctrine, centered on the one true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show us how to love one another as you have loved us, even when it is difficult or when disagreements arise.

Remove any trace of Adam from our being, strip away the pride and selfishness from our hearts, and fill us with humility, devotion, and the understanding of the true treasure found in Christ Jesus. Guide us to serve one another as you came to serve, bearing each other’s burdens, and preaching the gospel of the Lord.

Lord, we pray that your Church would remain a beacon of light in the world, exponentially growing with the inclusion of each new believer. We pray for the revealing and display of the power of your grace and mercy, a power that transforms, a transformation that happens when we are united in Your purpose and mission. Help us to reach out to the lost. Let us be a beacon to those who have yet to come to know you and the salvation that comes by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

For the sake of Your Son, we pray. Amen.
