Faithful as the Day is Long

“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3-5 ESV)

Our God is always faithful. You can count on nothing except the word of the Lord and salvation through Christ. When we accept Christ, we are made righteous in God. He establishes us. God does guard us against Satan. If we walk with Him and study the Word of God, Satan wants to be nowhere near us until we give Him an opening.

We know of God’s faithfulness; it gives us assurance in our salvation and eternity. We, in turn, are called to do the work of the Lord. Listen for the commands of God and His movement in your life. Let Him direct your works, the fruit of your salvation. God will always guide you and remind you of the love God has for you and Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
