"Thus says the Lord God: 'I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.’ And when they come there, they will remove from it all its detestable things and all its abominations. And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them." (Ezekiel 11:17-20 ESV)

The Son of God came to call all people to Him, His elect. Even though we are scattered throughout the world, we are united as Christians—Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We are in Peru, Afghanistan, Africa, Ukraine, China, and the earth’s far corners. When we come to Christ, He removes us from the detestable things of the world. We are no longer a part of it, although it exists.

In Christ, we are of one heart and one Spirit. The Holy Spirit, one Spirit, resides in all believers. God placed this Spirit in us when He redeemed us through the blood of Christ. God removes the heart of stone and replaces it with a heart of flesh. Many strong men I have seen come to tears speaking and testifying of their own conversion and experiences with God.

We walk with the Lord. He is in us, and while we are compelled by our nature to be rebellious, the Spirit convicts us, and we continually turn to Christ. We study God’s Word to understand what God expects of us. We study to see the glory and faithfulness of the Lord. We spread the Gospel so that others may find salvation in Christ.

There is an overwhelming feeling of joy when you watch Christ save someone. It is something you cannot explain but must witness. When you see it and feel the joy and hope for that person, stop and think about the joy of the saints in heaven and the joy of the Lord that one lost sheep, one sinner has repented their sins and accepted Christ as their savior. You will understand why there is a celebration in heaven.

It’s not about us; we can’t save anyone. All we can do is watch the power of the Gospel and the miracle of salvation. We, my brothers and sisters, are truly blessed.

Spread the Gospel. Peace and Grace!
