In faithfulness (God’s Servant) will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope. (Isaiah 42:3-4)
Isaiah was one of the major prophets, and his writings contain some of the most significant Messianic prophesies. In today’s verse, Isaiah tells us to remember that Christ fulfills all things. In this messianic prophecy, Isaiah reminds us that God never fails and is always reliable, truthful, and always on time.
In a time when the love of the world detracts from the love of God, it seems like justice based on love does not exist. Notice I did not say a love of the world overcomes the love of God. Nothing can overcome the love of God. And even though we live in a world where many injustices happen to powerless people, we must remain faithful that the second coming of Christ will ultimately bring triumph over every single form of evil that exists in this world.
Our hope for this world is not in the hands of human leaders but in the hands of Jesus Christ. Proverbs 21:1 ESV reminds us, “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.” God Is in control. While he may have turned this world over to its sin, God ultimately controls everything. Jesus promised to return, and he will bring righteousness and the just rule of the Kingdom of God.
May the Lord smile upon you today. Share the Gospel with someone; you never know how badly they may need it. Remember, the Gospel is not just for the lost but for everyone, Christians included.
