Hi,

I am a Christian. I have lied, I have stolen, I have lusted. I have failed my family and myself. I have hurt others by my actions and inactions. I did all these things, and I didn’t care. Some people still hate me. Some people don’t understand me and my life’s mess.

Then I discovered that someone still loved me despite all my mistakes, sins, bad choices, selfishness, drunkenness, lying, and cheating. He loved me when I was doing all these things, and he loved me to the point of dying for me before I ever knew him, before I ever existed.

Then I met him. I met him, and my life crushed me because of what I had done. I met him, and I felt this way because he changed me. With his love and his sacrifice, he changed me. Amidst all my depravity and weakness, he loved me enough to die for me.

I am a Christian; I make mistakes and sin, then Jesus Christ picks me back up, puts me on my feet, and continues walking with me. When I trip and fall again, he picks me up, puts me on my feet, and continues to walk with me. Why? Because I put my faith in him. I turned my life over to him. I know nothing I do will ever change my relationship with him, and I can do nothing on my own to change myself.

I am a Christian, and even though all these horrible things are mine, there is a love greater than all the sin and pain in my life. There is a love that overrides all evil. A love that never ends. I sit here with tears rolling down my face writing this, not because I am sad, but because there is a love inside me that I never knew until now. Because I reflect on what I was and who I am now, not because of what I have done, but because of what has been done for me.

Do you know him? Jesus. Do you know him?
