“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20 ESV)
We look around us, and we see so much beauty. We see nature, people, animals, and flowers. We appreciate what we know; treasure what we see, we love what we see. It makes us feel good and happy, and secure.
What we don’t see is all of these beautiful things are inherently flawed in so many ways. We only see the beauty, but we don’t see the flaws. But these flaws are not an accident. They are intentional. And we make all these excuses for the flaws instead of embracing them. God teaches us to love unconditionally. All of his creations are beautiful and flawed.
The only place for perfection is in God. Only God is perfection. What God has made is intentional in all ways, and we must embrace the beauty of it, with and without beauty, with and without ugliness, with and without flaws.
God loves you intentionally, without end and condition. Jesus would not have had to die for you if you were not flawed. God loves you because you are flawed.
Grace and Mercy,
Peace!
