"Celebrate the Gospel"

Father,

 We cherish the wonderful angelic message to mankind that You sent that first Christmas morning, when a heavenly choir sang its glorious refrain, “Glory to God in the Highest and peace on earth to men.” We rejoice knowing that You gave Your only begotten Son, our Savior, Christ Jesus, to be born into that which He created. Born so that by Your grace He would become the propitiation for our sins, and reclaim that peace between God and man that was lost in the garden, long ago.

Although angels sang this glorifying announcement 2000 years ago, may the light of its glorious message of grace shine deep into the hearts of men and women everywhere. Lift the gospel in the air so that Jesus Christ may be lifted up in the hearts and minds of the unbelieving world. We are grateful that Jesus Himself promised, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”(John 12:32)

We pray that You would draw many into Your forgiving arms of grace and mercy. Use Your people as vessels of mercy, opening the doors of hardened hearts that you may save the lost.

May we continue the eternal message of peace on earth and goodwill towards men through this upcoming Season of Advent until Your second coming, for You alone are worthy of all honor and praise and glory now and forever
