Most Holy and Righteous Father,

I boldly come to your throne of grace today, honoring You as the only true and living God, the Lord of all creation.  Trusting You, Father God; firmly believing that He who has begun a greater work in me is faithful to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.  Leaning on You, Lord Jesus, for being the author and finisher of my faith. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for living for me, for dying for me, and for rising from the dead for me.  There are no words that can adequately describe how grateful I am that You would do such a wonderful thing for a wretched sinner like me.  You are Divine.  You are not “the man upstairs”.  You are more than just a God of second chances.  You are Holy, and everything You do is perfect, just, and righteous. You created everything out of nothing, and You hold it all together by the power of Your Word.  You are the great “I AM”, and there is no one greater than You.  Holy Spirit, you are the seal of my salvation, and I thank You for teaching me the Word of God; for convicting me of my sins; and for guiding me according to the will of the Master.

Lord God, as believers commemorate the Lord Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on this Palm Sunday, help us to remember that although the ones who were yelling out “Hosanna!” were the same ones yelling “Crucify Him!” just days later, there is coming a day when every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father.  Help us, Holy Spirit, to study the Scriptures; to ponder the things of God; to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and to outwardly express our love of God by the way we treat others.  Teach us to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

We pray, Holy Father, that You will continue to be patient with those who have not yet come to faith in the finished works of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Some of those non-believers are our family and friends, Lord, so we ask that you strengthen the faith of your saints so that we can always be ready to give an answer to the hope that lies within us – the hope of Jesus Christ.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit I pray, Amen.
