Because I Said So...

When we were younger, most of us heard our parents say, “Because I said so.” We did not like it much, but what they said was what we did. Imagine what would happen if we did not do what was said. I, for one, probably would not have sat down for a while, whether it left marks or not.

As we grew, we realized that our parents were not so stupid. There was a reason they told us what they did. If you are like me, those words “because I said so” have also come out of your mouth. Whether they are listened to nowadays is another story.

God told us, “Because I said so.” Like the words of our parents and our words, whether He is listened to nowadays, well, look around you.

Because I said so, the earth and sky took shape and became real. Because I said so, the sun heats the earth, the rain makes it grow, and what grows is because I said so. Because I said so, there became man. Because I said so, woman became his wife. Because I said so, a man was to marry a woman (Genesis 1 &2.) Because I said so, came laws to be followed, and I mean them to be followed (Exodus 20). Because I said so, a God was born to man (Luke 2:1-40). This God-Man Jesus, my Son, walked the earth and told of salvation through His blood. Yes, because I said so, He preached the Gospel (Mark 1:14-15.) Because I said so, Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself for all sinners, ending the bondage of sin and death for those who believe. (Matthew 27, Luke 23, Mark 15, John 19) Because I said so, I will no longer speak with you, but you may talk to me through My Son, Jesus (John 14, Isaiah 9). Because I said so, I will hear from every single one of you whom I love. Because I said so, I will destroy those who fail to come to me through my son, along with Satan, who controls the world. Because I said so, I will bring forth a new heaven and earth (Revelation 21).

Why does man not listen to God? Because man no longer believes in God and thinks he knows better. Those are just stories, fables used to control people. Really, do you really believe that?

Because I said so, I placed my words in the mouth of man, that you may remember I am your God (Isaiah 46, Psalm 46, Jeremiah 32, Exodus 3, and many more). I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Exodus 3, Matthew 22.) The one true living God who made you from dust.

Pfff, Kids, one day they will learn the old man wasn’t kidding, and God is real. I just hope they realize this before it is too late. Amen
