“The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” (Job 32:4)
Most Wise and Eternal Father:
Thank you for the overflow of blessings and mercies you continue to shower down upon me, for your love and your mercy endure forever. Thank you for your protection and guidance, for you are my refuge and my strength; a very present help in times of trouble. As we begin a new month, I pray that you, Lord, will teach me how to focus my thoughts on you, and teach me how to remain in you. By the power of your Holy Spirit, show me how to devote my heart and soul to earnestly seeking your face. Guide me in turning away from any distractions that may be interfering with my connection with you, and help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of my faith. Through the power of your Word, show me how to love you with every ounce of my being, and how to love my neighbor as I love myself. I humbly ask that you cleanse me of my sins, and help me let go of those thoughts and actions that do not reflect well on your Holy Name. Remind me, Lord Jesus, that you have given me the spiritual power to live a Christ-centered life, and that I am no longer a slave to the world, my flesh, and the enemy. Allow your Holy Spirit to lead me in whatever I do. Let Him serve as a constant reminder to always keep you first, no matter the circumstances. Please help me to study your Word more thoroughly, and to gain the wisdom and understanding necessary to apply it in my life. When the plans that I make get derailed, remind me that your plan for me is better than what I think I desire. As each day passes, please strengthen my faith in you. Thank you, Father, for placing me in the comfort of your arms, for there is no place I’d rather be.
In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.
