A Prayer to Your Glory

Father God,
You, who are set apart from Your creation by Your perfect and holy nature, inspire in me a profound sense of awe. Your righteousness and love have made it possible for me to approach You. I worship and give You praise, for You are my God, my keeper, and the author of my life. Your Holy Spirit's conviction and correction are a constant, critical presence in my life, guiding me on the path to the narrow gate. Through my faith, I see You, even when others cannot. I worship You as my faithful Shepherd, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who rides a white steed against the evil one. You are Jesus, the name above all names, a treasure to behold, and He to whom I cling.
With my whole heart, I will lift up Your name and praise You, God. You are Messiah, the Savior, and the King of all things, soon to fulfill your promise of Your second coming. This anticipation fills me with hope and expectation. You are omnipotent, all-powerful, omniscient, knowing all things. You are omnipresent everywhere at all times. You are my peace, my protector, my armor, and my shield. You are my High Priest, my Redeemer, and eternal sacrifice that never stops saving. You willingly and obediently died to free me; you rose again and gave me victory over death. Sin no longer has a grip on me, nor can the great accuser confront me; you are my hope, my salvation, my rescuer, and my refuge. O’ my Lord, I am nothing without You.
In You, Lord, I have faith that You have gone to prepare a place for me so that one day, I will live with You forever. Then I will humbly fall before your presence and pray my praise may be adequate in a way not possible here on earth, praise you so rightfully and truly deserved. Until that time, Father, I have made you the center of my life. Help me to know you truly and to treasure you duly, for in you, Lord, is a satisfaction that cannot be surpassed.
In the lovely name of Christ Jesus, we pray, Amen.
