A Prayer for Today - And Everyday

Most Wise and Eternal Father,

We humbly come to you this morning, thanking you for continuing to demonstrate your unwavering faithfulness to your children.  We are so undeserving of all of the many blessings that you shower down upon us each and every day.  We owe you a debt that we can never repay, and we will never stop thanking you for your mercy and grace. Thank you, Lord, for sending your only begotten Son to die on the cross for my sins. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for rising on the 3rd day with all power in your hands.  By God’s grace through faith, I am a new creation in Christ Jesus because of His blood which washes away my sins. 

Precious Lord, please continue to protect our families, friends, and persecuted Christians all over the world.  The enemy continues to launch his attacks from all angles, and as believers, it becomes tiresome when we see so much evil running rampant in the world.  But you, Lord, are more powerful than the enemy and his schemes.  You are the One True and Living God, and even the enemy is subject to your power and authority. We ask that you continue to shape us and mold us into the image of your only begotten Son; that we remember to use Your Word to drive away the enemy; and that by your Spirit, we faithfully serve as bold witnesses for Christ. 

Thank you, Lord, for never leaving us nor forsaking us.  Thank you for a reasonable portion of health and strength. Holy Spirit, we ask that you continue to teach us the Word of God.  Teach us to meditate on the Word; to pray without ceasing; and to always have an answer for the hope that lies within us. Our hope is in the One who is Faithful and True, Jesus Christ our Savior.

Thank you for a peace that surpasses all understanding.  We praise you; we honor you; we magnify your Holy name.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
