Most Wise and Eternal Father:
I come to you this morning in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, thanking you for yet another day. Father God, you’ve been so good to me. You continue to bless me with a reasonable portion of health and strength, and you provide me with all of the provisions that I need to make it through the day. Lord, your name is majestic in all the earth. You are glorified by the praises of your people; therefore, we glorify you as the one true and living God, the Creator of all things. As I consider your marvelous works, I become more and more convinced that all of creation should praise your Holy name forever. The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns and where evening fades. I thank you, Lord, that even when the sinfulness of my flesh and the evils of the world try to draw me away from you, your Holy Spirit reminds me that you have made the Rock of my salvation known, and you continue to reveal your righteousness to the nations through Him. Faith in the precious blood of the Lamb of God has washed my sins away, and you’ve made that marvelous gift available to everyone who will repent and confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for living for me, for dying for me, and for rising for me. Thank you for interceding for me, and for placing your Holy Spirit in me as the guarantee of my salvation. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for filling me with strength and wisdom; for convicting me, and for divinely and patiently sanctifying me.
Lord God, I know that you will continue to protect the bride of Christ, your Church, but I do ask that you would give us a greater desire to make disciples of men. There are so many who do not know your Son for the pardoning of their sins. Please give your children a renewed sense of urgency in spreading the Gospel, knowing that the Lord Jesus Christ will be returning soon, and that you do not wish for anyone to perish. Your Word makes it clear that the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Therefore, I ask that you give the body of Christ a boldness the likes of which has not been seen; the confidence to stand firm on the Gospel. Please help us to be steadfast and unmovable, and to always abound in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain.
Now unto Him, who is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
