A Prayer for Strength

God of creation, Abba, my Father, You are near to me. Even in the valley with death staring in my face, You are beside me, giving me my every breath, a breath the enemy cannot take away. In this season of strife and shadow, I need Your mercies, O' Lord. Father, strengthen me with Your Holy Spirit. Fill me with your grace that I can withstand the storm. Grant me the fortitude to withstand the slings and arrows of the enemy, even if that enemy is of my blood. Father, I am being tested, and the evil one has been relentless. But I fear not because your armor, your sword, and the armies of heaven clothed in white are my protection. I ask this in the name of Your Son, who, when He was facing the cross, did not falter in His resolve. Who willing laid down his life-giving everlasting life to those who believe. Your Son, whose name is above all other names. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.
In the last three days, I have spoken with many who are struggling, me included. This world has overshadowed us, and even in its appearance, it is angry. The poisoned air and blurred sky are compressing us. So, I ask that we all pray for those who are struggling as we share in the Word. God is our Father, and He is always near to us. We know there is nothing that can overcome the power of God. The Spirit resides in us, and we should pray to Him for a reminder that God is sovereign. And we should remind ourselves that Christ is the commander of the armies of heaven. That He will return upon a white horse to obliterate evil. Christ died for you; He died for me. Even if our life is taken from us by whatever means, we still live. To live is Christ, and to Die is gain.
Peace, grace, and the mercies of the Lord be with you.
