A Prayer for Faith

"Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:12-13 ESV)

Father God,

I know this world is temporary, and life with you is eternal. Lord, I pray that You will grow my faith and strength in You. It is in you I find grace and mercy. It is in you I have found salvation. In this deviant world, Lord, I pray for strength to walk with my eyes on You, my mouth professing Your Gospel, and the hope that You will use me for Your will.

Lord, protect us and guide us. Keep us safe from those who do not know You. Watch over us until we are joined with you in Heaven. Forgive us our sins, which are many, and send the Spirit to help us focus on a righteous path.

In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
